What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Your main tasks: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Part-time with flexible hours.
