Oven operator • Chemung County, New York

We are recruiting: we are hiring an oven operator in Chemung County, New York. You will be based at a neighbourhood confectionery. What we are looking for: • Basic cake decorating and piping skills • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • 2+ years' experience as a baker The role involves: • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter • Score the top of loaves before baking • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $25 per hour plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
