Immediate opening: we are hiring an automotive refinish painter in Massac County, Illinois. The job is in an automotive paint and panel workshop. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of 2K paints, primers and hardeners • Able to read and match factory paint codes Your main tasks: • Wet-sand and buff out runs, orange peel and dust nibs • Bake panels in the spray booth oven to cure the paint • Apply primer, base coat and clear coat with an HVLP spray gun • Prime and seal bare metal to stop rust • Apply etch primer to aluminium and galvanised panels • Mask off trim, glass and rubber seals with tape and paper At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
