Foundry labourer wanted in Kanawha County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Kanawha County, West Virginia. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. The role involves assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
