Safety officer wanted in Schuyler County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in Schuyler County, Illinois. You will be based at a busy construction site. Day to day you will stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training 6+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
