The role involves couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock; operate tail-lifts and pump trucks during loading and unloading; plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules; secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars; present documents at weighbridges and check posts.
