Garment machinist wanted in Howard County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a garment machinist in Howard County, Nebraska. The job is in a sampling and tailoring workshop. The role involves: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance Requirements: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
