Now hiring: blocklayer (Alaska)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a blocklayer in Denali Borough, Alaska. You will work at a groundworks and structures site. On the job you will handle: • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts Requirements: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding Full-time with occasional weekends.
