Gas meter installer — Colorado County

Join our team: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Colorado County, Texas. You should have: • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces On the job you will handle: • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray We offer $23 per hour plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
