We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Faribault County, Minnesota. Day-to-day duties: • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator You should have: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
