Now hiring: we are hiring a CNC programmer-operator in Borough of Rochdale, England. On a typical shift you will run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence. Requirements: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges Full-time, day shift.
