Immediate opening: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Jessamine County, Kentucky. You will work on a busy housing site. Day-to-day duties: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters What we are looking for: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
