Gtaw welder — Ikot Ekpene

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. On a typical shift you will control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Own basic hand tools and PPE Full-time, day shift. Meals and transport allowance provided.
