We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel fixer in Fresno County, California. You will be based at a high-rise construction project. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Your main tasks: • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors 5+ years on the tools preferred.
