Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Stanley County, South Dakota. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding On the job you will handle: • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks Meals and transport allowance provided.
