Great opportunity: we are hiring a bricklayer in Winn Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a renovation and extension job. On the job you will handle: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets 4+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $5,500 per month, based on your experience. Rotating shifts. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
