Great opportunity: we are hiring a commercial refrigeration engineer in Concordia Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a supermarket cold-chain site. Requirements: • Available on-call and at weekends for breakdowns • Able to read wiring diagrams and pressure-temperature charts • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints On the job you will handle: • Check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil • Recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system • Trace electrical circuits with a multimeter • Braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch • Install and commission cold rooms, walk-in freezers and display cabinets Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. $27 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
