We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska. You will back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job. You should have: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
