Site safety steward wanted in Levy County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a site safety steward in Levy County, Florida. You will be based in a chemical processing unit. What we are looking for: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot Your main tasks: • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
