Fabricator-welder wanted in Carter County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Carter County, Tennessee. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Day to day you will grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Full-time, day shift.
