Natural gas fitter — Tioga County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a natural gas fitter in Tioga County, New York. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations • Driving licence for travel between sites • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders Day-to-day duties: • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Pay around $3,200 per month, based on your experience. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
