Now hiring: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Machina, Yobe State. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Day to day you will clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
