We are recruiting: restoration bricklayer (Scotland)

Join our team: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in East Dunbartonshire, Scotland. You should have: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Your main tasks: • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
