Now hiring: we are hiring a rough terrain crane operator in Greene County, Iowa. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. The role involves: • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins Ideal candidate: • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
