Die-casting operator — City of Lexington

We are recruiting: we are hiring a die-casting operator in City of Lexington, Virginia. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills Your main tasks: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Full-time with occasional weekends.
