Now hiring: we are hiring a pastry baker in Pitt County, North Carolina. You will be based in a hotel pastry kitchen. Requirements: • 2+ years' experience as a baker • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving The role involves grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds; monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them; score the top of loaves before baking; roll out short-crust and biscuit dough. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
