Now hiring: we are hiring a refrigeration technician in Calhoun County, South Carolina. You will be based at a food processing plant. Requirements: • Available on-call and at weekends for breakdowns • Able to read wiring diagrams and pressure-temperature charts • Own a set of hand tools and a gauge manifold The role involves: • Braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch • Recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system • Pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture • Install and commission cold rooms, walk-in freezers and display cabinets • Check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
