GMAW welder • Fayette County, Illinois

Great opportunity: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Fayette County, Illinois. You will work at a steel fabrication workshop. Day to day you will control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols. Ideal candidate: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • ITI in welder trade or equivalent 3+ years on the tools preferred. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
