Join our team: we are hiring a building site helper in Santa Barbara County, California. You will work on a metro and infrastructure project. Requirements: • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio Day-to-day duties: • Stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns • Bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns • Cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days • Carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction 3+ years on the tools preferred. $29 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
