Now hiring: restoration bricklayer (South Dakota)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Tripp County, South Dakota. You will be based on a busy housing site. You should have: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding Day to day you will pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
