Great opportunity: argon welder (Virginia)

Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in City of Lexington, Virginia. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. On a typical shift you will tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Pay around $32 per hour, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
