Metal caster — Dale County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in Dale County, Alabama. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. Day-to-day duties: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills We offer $4,100 per month plus benefits. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
