Argon welder wanted in Multnomah County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Multnomah County, Oregon. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. On a typical shift you will control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters. Requirements: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
