Great opportunity: we are hiring a cement mason in Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, England. Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours Day to day you will fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms; mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Pay around £2,800 per month, based on your experience. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
