Domestic gas engineer — Lewis County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a domestic gas engineer in Lewis County, Tennessee. You will work in a gas distribution network. Requirements: • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Day-to-day duties: • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves 4+ years on the tools preferred. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
