Join our team: we are hiring a gardener in Marion County, Iowa. You will work in a public park. Requirements: • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Valid driving licence for travel between sites • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules You will plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe.
