Truck driver — Rockingham County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a truck driver in Rockingham County, Virginia. You will be based at a container freight yard. Ideal candidate: • Valid HGV/LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence • Current Driver CPC qualification card On a typical shift you will report defects and book the unit in for servicing; check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock; secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars; plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules; check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels.
