Ladle pourer — New York County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a ladle pourer in New York County, New York. You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Day to day you will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
