Immediate opening: we are hiring a tig welder in Clark County, Kansas. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Your main tasks: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required Rotating shifts.
