You should have: • Confident using diagnostic scan tools • Sound knowledge of petrol and diesel engines • ITI / NVQ Level 3 qualification in motor vehicle maintenance On a typical shift you will carry out suspension and steering repairs; replace clutch plates and gearbox components; replace alternators, starter motors and batteries; read fault codes and clear them after the repair; check and top up coolant, brake fluid and power-steering fluid.
