Stainless steel welder • Dawes County, Nebraska

Great opportunity: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Dawes County, Nebraska. You will be based on an industrial construction site. The role involves control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). You should have: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
