Concrete finisher — Jim Hogg County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a concrete finisher in Jim Hogg County, Texas. The job is at a ready-mix concrete plant. Day to day you will set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins; load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors; mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
