On a typical shift you will replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers; MIG-weld and spot-weld new panels into place; feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray; knock out dents and creases using a panel hammer and dolly; straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains; check alignment with measuring gauges after a structural pull. Requirements: • Comfortable working with dust, noise and spray fumes • Good eye for panel gaps and body lines • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
