Urgent requirement: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Peterborough, England. The job is in a pharmaceutical piping facility. Day-to-day duties: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
