Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Buchanan County, Missouri. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. On the job you will handle: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent You should have: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
