Auto-electrical fitter • Smyth County, Virginia

Vacancy available: we are hiring an auto-electrical fitter in Smyth County, Virginia. The job is at a car service garage. Day-to-day duties: • Trace and fix short circuits and earthing faults • Test batteries, alternators and starter motors with a multimeter • Install alarms, immobilisers and central locking • Programme keys and reset immobilisers • Replace blown fuses, relays and faulty switches • Repair and re-tape damaged wiring looms What we are looking for: • ITI certificate in auto electrical or electronics, or equivalent • Able to work under the dashboard and bonnet for long periods Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
