Requirements: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites The role involves: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
