Fabricator-welder — Schoolcraft County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Schoolcraft County, Michigan. The job is in a food and dairy equipment factory. The role involves: • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run You should have: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
