Join our team: we are hiring a blocklayer in Jones County, Mississippi. The job is on a new-build development. On a typical shift you will setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays. You should have: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
