Gas pipeline fitter • Brown County, Minnesota

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas pipeline fitter in Brown County, Minnesota. You will be based in a gas distribution network. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders Your main tasks: • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
